Further to my mention of Andy Hutson's guiding services last week, a brief outline of what's on offer from him below....
Hi Jason, as per discussion on the phone this morning we both agreed that guided fishing is a good way to learn and get the most out of our sport. The Toft half day boat package is as follows:
4 hours guided boat fishing with myself - to include casting hints, recommendations on suitable tackle, leader setups, fly choice, the boat and engine hire for the session, a 2 fish limit and the chance to fish the bank for the rest of the day at no extra charge Total Price £59.95 I'm sure you will agree this offers great value and hope that some of the less experienced anglers hoping to get more out of their sport may wish to take advantage of this great offer - obviously on quiet days 4 hours may run into 5 but this depends on my schedule and other bookings that I may have. Dry fly video with Andy Hutson fishing his own CDC pattern in the north west corner. Plenty of big sedges around and an excellent rise, he caught 15 fish in an hour and a half session. **We have reverted back to killing your limit before catch & release as this seemed a more popular and practical choice.** We have been approached by several anglers regarding the use of their own Kayaks at Toft and have just received permission from the EA to allow this, more details to follow soon. Some good news for me & Toft.... I'm extremely proud to have been presented with the national Alan Faulkner Memorial Award from the Wheelyboat Trust at the CLA Gamefair. The Alan Faulkner Memorial Award has been created by the Trust in memory of its Founder President who died in November 2002. It is an annual award and goes to the game fishery that, in the judges' opinion, provides disabled anglers with the most outstanding service, facilities, opportunities and access.
